Donna Downey "apronology"

I love-love my new apron!

I had to miss two of Donna's classes this past weekend, but Mom convinced me to sneak away from my responsibilities and squeeze into "Apronology". I arrived Saturday morning with Starbucks in hand. (Donna likes nonfat chai latte w/no water.) So I got some brownie points to help makeup for missing the other two classes. When I walked in, there was a big wrapped box on the table. Mom was giving me my Christmas present early... A new sewing machine! I had been wanting one for awhile. I have the absolutely best most thoughtful mom!!
So of course I had a great time, and I actually finished my apron! (Okay, so it took me 3 additional days, but that's still good for my average.) AND considering I haven't used a sewing machine since I was 12 - I'm pretty impressed with my tres cute apron. I moved around some of the ribbon, so mine doesn't look exactly like Donna's, but if you've ever taken one of her classes, you know that she would approve. :)
Now I can't decided what to do next... The kids want me to make them pajamas, so I'll probably attack those early next week. Maybe even have 'em ready for New Year's Eve. That would be great. I'll let you know. And of course there will be pictures. :)

I survived!

Whew! I finished my first semester back at college. Sorry I haven't posted in forever, but these last couple of weeks were intense. I don't think I've seen Mom, or the store, or my husband and kids for that matter, since Thanksgiving! I've been at the CSU library until midnight for most nights over the past 10 days. (Wow, has it really only been 10 days? Feels like its been 10 weeks.). Final exams were tough, but I made it.

Well I've missed you all. I hope everyone's been keeping Mom company. I should be up at Charleston Scrapbooking sometime this week... I hear DONNA DOWNEY is teaching for us this weekend. Very cool!

I'll be posting a lot more over the next few weeks since I have a MONTH off from school. Whoohoo-vaca!! So, be looking for pics of the kiddoes (thanks to my new awesome camera that I got from Mom for my birthday) and updates on the store. I'm betting you've all been in more lately than I have, so I've got catching up to do.
