ScrapPink begins.

It's Friday night and we're gettin' our crop on!! Our first official crop in the new space. Whoooohoooo! I'm so excited. I'll post pics as we go.

Suppose to be studying

I have a Religion exam at 1:30 today on the Pentateuch, the first 5 books of the Old Testament.  (I gaurantee that will be a question on the test.)  So, I was up late last night, up to my eyeballs in sin and rebellion & God's unwavering patience and grace.  I don't know why I continue to be surprised when God's favorites turn out to be flawed just like the rest of us.  Even Moses never saw the Promised Land because he disobeyed.  Well, all I can say is Thank God for the Savior!!  Can I get an Amen?!!

So, like I said... I'm suppose to be studying, but I decided to swing by the new store formerly known as Scrappin' at The Pink House.  I'm here at Charleston Scrapbooking pondering all the craziness.  Mom had some errands to run, so it's just me in our new space.  Kinda quiet since we're not open for another 15 minutes.  I'm looking around here and I've gotta tell ya This Place Rocks! 

My new BoBunny is the first thing inside the door on the left and all 6 lines call my name...  Michelle, come play with us!  My wall of PRIMA flowers & bling is so gorgeous, but it's hard to keep it full.  You guys keep taking it all down.  Geesh!  Well, good thing I have another shipment arriving Thursday.  SO, there.  :)  Mom also got in new Spellbinders and new FlowerSoft late last week.  I can't keep up!

And have you seen the ump-teen boxes of RANGER goodies that are pretty much still in the boxes on our crop tables?  I've gotta find a way to make room for all the Distress Inks, Paint Dabbers, Glossy Accents, etc.  You won't believe the array of colors we have.  Mom bought everything - I'm not kidding!

We finally got our Bazzill cardstock order in, so that wall looks like a paper rainbow.  Love it.  And do you wanna talk stamps?  Mom's got so many acrylic dollar deals I'm still looking for places to put 'em.  This morning we got 2 more boxes in... one of 'em was just a display rack so that was kinda anti-climatic.  But the other box has a ton of new Girl Scouts papers & Embellishments.  There are so cute!!  I can't wait to get my girls' Daisy pictures on these.  (Yes - I know, that means I haven't scrapped them yet.  shhh)

So, really - I've got to go study or I'm gonna lose my scholarship.

One last thing... Big Thanks to Brandy Jo!!  She has been such a super-cool addition to our team.  Brandy has been helping run the store while we're here but busy, when we're not here and still busy, and when we're not here but at home doing nothing (yeah, like that ever happens.)

I survived another day at to school... Thursdays are tough because I have 2 labs, physics and chemistry. So, it's my late day. I finally finished up just after 5pm.
But then I swung by the new store, Charleston Scrapbooking, to drop off 3 more boxes of goodies that had been delivered to the old address. It was more We R Memory Keepers! Whooohooo! A super-cute robot line and a sugary-sweet girly-girl line. Love em!
Oh, and some page protectors from Zutter. Did you hear that? So now you can use page protectors in your Bind-It-All projects. How Cool?!

I have to take a second here to brag about my son. Zane is 10. He is such a good leader on his football team. He keeps his defense pumped up, leads by example (by pummeling the other team) and even has a new job as kickoff returner. All this, and he still has straight A's.
I'm a proud mama. :)

Wow! Just got a text from Mom... 25 boxes of brand new products were delivered to the store today. Uhm - did you catch that? Twenty-Five Boxes!!
And we have a rep coming by tomorrow to help us order even more. This is the best job ever.
Guess you all know where I'll be for the next 48 hours. Who needs sleep anyway?

1st Week as Charleston Scrapbooking

How can I put this?
A - MA - ZING!!
The out pouring of supportive faces (some that we haven't seen since before the last time we moved) has been unbelievable. This new location is the best thing ever to happen to us. The space itself is wide open, well lit, and has ample parking. (Yay! no more parking lot nazi.)

Mom and I decided to open the store last Saturday even though we weren't finished with everything. I was worried, but it turned out great. We've been putting in some very late (and many early morning) hours to get the store together. Thanks so much for the extremely encouraging comments. We love that you are loving the new place as much as we do.

Well, as promised, we had a bunch of deliveries this week... Including PRIMA!!! Mom sent an email out a couple of days ago, but some people may not have rec'd it yet. Feel free to send her a message and tell her you want that update. :)

What else did we get in? Hmmm... I see Birthday, Sports, Beach, Holiday. Oh and did I mention BLING?!! We a good start on our travel section, and our storage area is pretty well stocked. The acrylic binders are sold out, so we're ordering a bunch more. (You may want to call and reserve one cuz Brandy and Amber are trying to hog 'em all.)

Classes have been rockin at the new store, too. We've done Tearbears, Cricut, FlowerSoft and more. Please check out our Calendar for a list of this month's remaining events. Definitely sign up for SCRAP PINK. If you can't hang for a 12 hour crop, then take one of our Saturday classes and stop in early for paper piecing make and takes. My Copic marker class is full, but we've started a waiting list in case someone can't make it. I've also got the next Copic Class on the October schedule. You may want to go ahead and reserve your spot. It will be a bit different than this month's class, but we'll be sure to cover the basics, too.

I've still got a lot of work to get done tonight so I'll leave you with some pictures.

Best Day Ever!

Thought y'all should know that this weekend was wonderful. Saturday was our best day ever. Our Rivers Ave location is looking like the place to be. Soooooo loving it. Mom and I are ecstatic (sp?) about the possibilities and we're already placing more orders. Tons of too fabulous super-supreme'o goodies still on the way. Look for an e-mail Wednesday-ish for an update on the arrival of BoBunny, Prima flowers, new Stickles and more!

Opening Day

Wow! I'm just now sitting down for lunch (actually it's breakfast cause I didn't eat before coming in this morning.). Mom's at the register while I stuff my face real quick w/ a big Moe's burrito.

So y'all know we had like an hour or so of sleep this morning. Mom and I are walking zombies, but everyone's excitment today has kept us fueled. It has been crazy busy since 9:55 when I peeled into the parking lot to find ladies already waiting. It has been non-stop all day. We sure appreciate your support!

As some of you noticed, I was taking photos every chance I got. Here are a few of the shots:

Who loves ya babe?!

I tell you what - our own personal 4 musketeers sure must love us (or it could be all the paper and embellies?) Well, that posse showed up today and didn't give up until we were done. (Okay-so we're halfway done, but that's not the point.) The point is that we were still going strong until 5am this morning!! Now that's friendship and an infinity for papercraft supplies. My oldest girls, Zoe and Nicole, helped out too. They even outlasted their daddy who went home around 2am.

So, Charleston Scrapbooking will be open in about 4 hours for business. I have enough time to get off my phone, snag a couple hrs shuteye, hop in the shower and then be bright eyed and bushy tailed for the onslaught of customers that are going to pour in. You are all coming to pour in, right? Right?!!

We have so much great stuff... Wait until you see the Spellbinders "wall". I love the visual. :) Mom ordered every $1 stamp that crossed her path in Oralando, so we have a huge selection of those. A new thing for me is this stuff called Smooch. It comes in these lil fingernail polish like bottles and is super cool for embellishing. The huge array of new JustRite stamper images takes up nearly an entire 8ft section of wallboard. Yummy! The best part of all this great new stuff is that even more great/fabulouso stuff is on the way. My fave - PRIMA - should be here midweek along with BoBunny, Bazzill, Copic, and more. So you can come shop today and then back again next Saturday and it should look all new.

Have I told you yet how totally freakin' cool this new store is? Really, I'm lovin' it!

Come see us this weekend. Please pardon some of the mess as we finish up getting things arranged. Product was our priority this week, the crop room will be our priority next week to prepare for our big weekend for ScrapPink, sept 25-27th. The 12 hour crop spots are nearly sold out for Friday and Sunday. Plenty of room on Saturday so far. Be sure to reserve your crop seat and your classes ASAP.

Charleston Scrapbooking is licensed for business!

OMGosh - let me tell you how hard Mom has been working on this...

She has been at the new store for nearly 2 weeks straight now getting everything ready for you.  She had to jump through some major hoops getting the new site ready for inspection, and she had to jump through some even bigger hoops meeting some of the newly discovered requirements... like a sprinkler system inspection.  who do you even go to for that?  Well Mom is relentless and she wanted to be open this weekend, so by God she made that happen.

And don't let her tell you otherwise.  Often she pumps up my involvement in things (she is my mother after all) but this time it was all her.  I've been at school these past weeks, and at football practice, and at cheerleading practice, and at chorus tryouts... you get the picture.

(Phia made the chorus at SFI by the way - congrats baby!)

Long story short... Mom made it happen, and now we have all licensing and permits to do business in N Charleston again.  SOooooo, I'll be pulling an all-nighter tonight to get you lovely precious products onto the shelves.  That way we can be OPEN tomorrow!!
