Earlier this month...  "Paper Crafts Magazine" editor, Megan Hoeppner, came to our store (aaallll the way from Utah!) to teach a card class for The Pink House.  What an awesome super fun event!!  Megan is the biggest sweetheart, and we all had such good time.  Well, she recently mentioned us in her blog, and I thought I'd share...

Thanks again for opening up your store to me for WCMD. You were all so hospitable and delightful to be with. I only wish we lived closer and could go out more often. There’s always CHA, right? J Until then, please keep in touch and take care!

Megan, Ronee, Mom & I went out to dinner after the card class that night.  While we were waiting for a table to become available downtown, the 4 of us went shopping at The Market.  Megan took this picture of us at The Candy Kitchen while we loaded up on some taffy & Charleston Chews to send back to Utah.  Yummy!!

Here's Mom and I sharing a Steam Pot/Frogmore Stew.  Now I'm a real "Lowcountry Boil" kinda girl, but I did not authorize this picture!  At least she didn't get me chowin' down on the sausage... heehee! 

That was such a great girl's night out.  We'll definitely have to do it again.  No later than Feb 2008 - CHA Anaheim, CA!  See you then, Megan.  :)

Design Team Position

Good afternoon ladies,

I've been answering e-mails this morning and responded to an inquiry about our Pink House Design Team.  Thought I'd share the info w/ you...

Thank you so much for your interest in our store.  We have a lot of fun here, and our staff is a great bunch of talented ladies. 

As for the design team, I have a spot open that is a month-to-month opportunity.  We hold a page contest each month, our customers vote for their favorite, and the winner gets to be on the design team for the next month.  If you happen to win by a landslide (and/or I personally think your style is fab), then I may ask you to join our design team permanently.

I strongly encourage you to participate in our page contest for November.  The theme is "Best use of Flowers."  Entries must be made 50% or more from products available at The Pink House and are due by Nov. 9th.  In addition to being on our design team, the winner will receive $20 store credit, 2 crop night tickets & a goody bag.

FYI: Design Team members are paid in store credit.  I will provide you with the supplies for several projects each month, and you will earn credit based upon the complexity of the project (usually $5-10.)  Plus, after I display your finished project at the store for about a month, you'll get to take it home.  Basicaly, you get paid to scrapbook & you get to keep the projects!!

I sincerely hope you will give it a try.

WANTED: Wishblade Operator

Okay - so most of you know that I've had a Xyron Wishblade for over 3 months now.  Well, I have not had time to sit down and figure out how to work it, and I can't stand it any longer!!  I'm willing to pay BIG BUCKS (aka "yummy store credit") to anyone willing to come give me a tutorial.  I'll take a quick ten minute lesson or even a 3 hour tour - whatever you can give me.  Just please help!

There's even a possible part time job in it.  Let's talk!

Cosmo Cricket

Thought y'all would like a taste of some of the newest products that are overflowing at The Pink House...

Cosmo Cricket's Autumn rub-ons are gorgeous as expected, and the 8x8 "luggage" style shadow box album is my #1 fav right now.  Also in are some Cosmo chipboard alpha sets that coordinate with just about all of Cosmo's lines.  You have to come see.

Well, I have about fifteen other boxes to go thru.  Hi-ho, hi-ho, off to work I go...

Bad Blogger has A+ day.

I know, I know... I've been a terrible blogger, neglecting the site that lives solely to send forth my little tidbits of worldly insight far deep into the chasm of the internet universe...

But anyway!  I just wanted to tell y'all about my A+ day.  Let me start by being perfectly clear that these sorts of days are few and far between, which is why I am soooo boasting now and not feeling a teensy-tiny bit guilty! 

On Monday, I started my day at 6am.  Got all the kids ready and off to school on time.  Put in an 8 hour day at The Pink House.  Then I picked the babies back up from Pre-K and we took Zoe to her volleyball game in Goose Creek.  Still had an hour of daylight once we got back home, so we all played in the backyard.  AND I did dinner, dishes and laundry after that!  That's what I call an A+ day.

Getting all 6 of these kids from place to place each morning and each afternoon, working a full time job, having the energy to actually play outside AND get some housework done all before 8pm does not happen everyday for me.  So, I just wanted it put on record that I did it!  (at least once, if never again.)

Alright, I gotta go watch Grey's Anatomy.  I can't be superwoman more than one day a week.
