These would also look great with some black and white action photos!!  Have you got some of those dare devil pictures?  or some great sports shots that would look good in b&w?  I have some tough-boy baby pics of my son that scream "hell raiser in the making."  Can't wait to use this stuff.  Send me your ideas and scans of your LO's.  I'll post 'em here and on the store website.

1st Delivery at THE PINK HOUSE

How exciting ~ our brand new store got it's very first delivery.  I'm so jealous that Mom got to open the package without me.   (I'm at home soaking up my 4 day summer vacation before I become a slave to the grind - uhm, I mean "working woman".  I'm definitely spoiled by my summers on the beach spending time with my kids, but now I'm a business owner.  Gotta go make the doughnuts!)

So, may I have a drum roll please ... ... ... our very first product delivery is from ... JUNKITZ!!  It's the awesome radical Extreme Boy line, yeah baby!  Lots of dark reds and black, some glitter thrown in for bling, and tons of really cool tough guy stuff.  Love it!  These papers and embellies will look great on Pirate pages, racing layouts, etc.  No momma's boys allowed!

I'll get some sneak peek pics up as soon as my computer plays nice.  Check back in a couple hours.

2 "Graduation" ceremonies

School is out for the summer here ~  wooooohoooooo!!

Thought you might like to see some "Graduation" pictures...  My oldest finished elementary school (5th grade) and my #4 finished Pre-K.  My girls are so beautiful, I just had to share how grown up they look.

Michael wins again!

So, I've mentioned that I am married to my very own Lance Armstrong...  Well, today he won his third race in a row.  I am so proud of his determination, his training regimen, and his good sportsmanship.  He's even stepped up as a volunteer, acting as a "Group Coordinator."

FYI: Michael races in Savannah for "The Nestor Cup."  He's won the first 3 races of the season so far and has 9 more to go.  Next stop is a race in Pooler next Sunday.  Kick butt, baby!

"Two Kids & a Truck"

I have such great kids.  They are all little eager beavers, always wanting to be a part of the action and willing to help.  This weekend we picked up a lot of retail display units, crop tables, register counters, etc, for The Pink House.  So, of course my kids wanted to help.

So, I put my 2 oldest kids to work carring stuff back and forth, counting hooks, "go-for-ing", and such.  Towards the end of the day, these two decided to call themselves "Two Kids & a Truck" and started talking about how much money they could earn if I would buy them a big moving truck.  They even got my camera and took a bunch of pictures for me to scrapbook for them.

... well, the photos aren't uploading for some reason-I'll keep trying, though.

Our "Branding" design

I've been trying for 2 weeks to have an ourdoor sign made for our new scrapbook store.  I've been in contact with this one sign maker that just seems to have a million holes in the bucket.  Every time I suggest something, he shoots it down... "your signs too big, pink vinyl will cost too much, more than one sign is illegal."  Sheeesh!!  Just make the d*#n sign already!

So, I finally contacted about 6 more sign places, and I went ahead and designed my own dang sign.  What do you think? 

Instead of a logo, I'd like go with a color/font scheme for "branding."  I want our signs/business cards/website/store paint scheme/etc  all to resemble this branding.  Ideas, comments, suggestions?

Scrappin' at The Pink House!!

Hey - we are really doing this!!   We have our Fed. EIN#, we're registered w/ the State of SC, and our business license is being processed.  The lease is signed, the money is in, products are ordered, and Mom & I are scared to death.  :)

Now we need some employees, a design team, and a website designer.  (My efforts have gotten our site on the web - www.ScrappinAtThePinkHouse.com -  but honestly, we need a professional.  Please help!)  Anyone interested in any of these positions, please contact me asap.  You can e-mail me:  [email protected]

Happy Mother's Day!!

I woke up at 6 o'clock this morning but decided to stay in bed.  The kids were so eager to bring me their Mother's Day gifts they had made at school.  Each one came in to my bedroom first thing after waking up and handed me cards and homemade jewelry and showered me with hugs.  I stayed in bed until 9am!  Now that's a treat.

Hope your day starts as sweet as mine.

Phia's broken elbow

a week later... here's a pic of her arm in the splint that was applied in the ER.

Phia is only 6, but she handled everything so well.  She was a bit nervous about getting x-rays.  The lead apron was very heavy for her, but she stayed perfectly still and didn't cry through any of it.  I am so proud of her!

Now she has a bright red cast on, covered in her friends' signatures and well wishes.  (photos to come soon)  The Doc said he'll x-ray her again next week and possibly remove the cast then.  Thank God no surgery!

A broken arm!!

With 5 kids, we knew it would was inevitable that one of our kids would break a bone.  My husband and I are just thankful that it hadn't happen sooner.

On Sunday, our middle child tried to jump over a wagon in our backyard.  She slipped on the wet grass and her elbow landed on the wagon.  Her arm has been injured before, so we didn't think too much of it until the next day when the sucker swelled to twice the size of the other arm.  Phia's pediatrician took one look at her elbow and said to take her straight to the ER.

The ER Doc put her arm in a splint and arranged for us to see the Ortho Surgeon the very next morning.  So, Tuesday morning the Ortho Doc says, "it's an area of concern.  We usually do surgery in this instance.  I'll have to refer you to a pediatric specialist."  Well, they put a full arm cast on my daughter then, and we have an appt today with the Pediatric Ortho specialist.

Cross your fingers that she won't need surgery!

Phia is being a really big girl (only 6 yrs old), and she looks so cute in her red cast!  I'll post post some pics this weekend.
